San Francisco Photo Store was started by Tim Shetz.
(at the insistence of his younger brother)
Tim was given his first ‘real’ camera when he was 12. It was given to him by the best teacher he could have asked for…his father. His father had been a photographer his whole life.
His father showed him how to not only use the camera, but also how to roll/develop his own film, and how to print his own photographs.
Though Tim has taken pictures his whole life, only recently has he decided to pursue it as a craft.
Having studied engineering, architecture and design, Tim’s images tend to show the detail of things and places.
Tim has lived in the Bay Area for over 25 years.
